Using Kiss Sounds

The Listening Room
When you first start Kiss Sounds, the program will open in the "Listening Room". The Listening Room is where you can listen and watch any song by any artist... and when we say any song by any artist, we mean it! Listen and watch full-length songs on demand... anytime, anywhere, any song, any artist.

Just type in the name of the song you are looking for and before you can say "Kiss" ... all video's that match your search query will appear on the right side of the screen. You can also search by artist, simply type the artists' name in the search box and all of their music will be displayed. When searching for video's, be sure and use the "Next" button to scroll through the videos; when you see the video you are searching for, click it. It will now begin playing on the large preview monitor. You can watch videos inside the program or switch to full screen mode.

The Recording Studio
Kiss Sounds is first and foremost a digital audio recorder that allows you to record music and audio by working directly with your computer's sound card. When you record with Kiss Sounds you will get exactly what you hear, without any audio quality loss. Kiss Sounds allows you to quickly and easily record streaming audio from the Internet, record streaming music from online radio stations, record any sound played by your computer, record music played by other media players, record audio through your microphone, record music playing through your CD/DVD drive or record music from external media devices such as MP3 players.

You can access the Recording Studio by clicking on the button at the top of the program next to the Kiss Sounds logo... the button is appropriately called "Recording Studio". Once clicked, the Recording Studio opens and you can now browse to a specific website (I.E. Google.com™, MTV.com™, YouTube™, Metacafe™, MySpace™, NBC™, Lala™, Yahoo!™ Music, LiveStream™, Hulu™, Fancast™, XM™ Radio, Sirius™ Radio, Grooveshark™, AOL™ Music, AOL™ Video, Pandora™, Blip.tv,) and begin record streaming audio. You can also insert a CD, or plug in your microphone, or attach another external device and begin recording.

When you are ready to record, simply press the Record button (it's the round button on top, dude it's the 1st button on the left, yeap that's it!). When you are finished recording, click it again to stop recording. To play back your recording, press the Play button. If you are satisfied with your recording, press Save. If you are not satisfied with the recording, press Clear and try again.

Your Kiss recordings are suitable for all media players including iPods, iPhones, Zunes, PSPs and mobile phones.

The Media Player
In addition to the "Listening Room" and the "Recording Studio"... Kiss Sounds also features a simple-to-use but yet-very-powerful Media Player. Once again, you can access the media player through the Listening Room by clicking on the button (you're catching on) "Media Player". The Kiss Media Player will play audio files as well as movies. When playing an audio file (or a movie, for that matter) you can also record what you are hearing by pressing the Record button located at the top of the Media Player.In addition to the "Listening Room" and the "Recording Studio"... Kiss Sounds also features a simple-to-use but yet-very-powerful Media Player. Once again, you can access the media player through the Listening Room by clicking on the button (you're catching on) "Media Player". The Kiss Media Player will play audio files as well as movies. When playing an audio file (or a movie, for that matter) you can also record what you are hearing by pressing the Record button located at the top of the Media Player.

Recording Music with Kiss Sounds through your microphone instead of a sound card.
If you are recording audio using your microphone jack, please follow the below instructions to acheive the best possible recordings without background noise. You will need a male-to-male 1/8-inch audio cable.

Plug one end of the male-to-male 1/8-inch audio cable into your microphone jack (usually marked with a red/pink color), and the other end into the headphone jack (usually marked with a green color). Now click the Sound Settings button located at the bottom of the Kiss Sounds program interface. This will open the Sound box. Click on the Recording Tab. Choose "Microphone" as your default recording device. Click OK.

Your PC will now record through your microphone without background noise or distortion.

Using Kiss Sounds with iTunes
Kiss Sounds can automatically send your saved audio recordings to iTunes.

To send your saved recording to iTunes, press the ITUNES button which is located under the "Save & Clear" buttons. Your saved recordings are located in your default Music folder, in a sub folder called Kiss. Once you press the ITUNES button all saved music files are added to your iTunes library. You can now open iTunes and sync your recordings to your iPod.

Minimum System Requirements
Kiss Sounds is fully compatible with Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later, Windows Vista (32-bit and 64-bit editions), Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit editions) and Mac OS X with Boot Camp running Windows 7 or Windows Vista. Kiss Sounds requires an active Internet connection, Internet Explorer 4.1.0.0 or later, Adobe Flash Player 6.0.0.0 or later, Windows Media Player 6.0.0.0 or later and a (16-bit minimum) sound card. A screen resolution of 1024x768 or greater is recommended but not required.
